Option Skew

Skew refers to the uneven pricing of a put and call options with the same expiration date.

A positive skew means that put options are more expensive than call options, indicating that market participants are willing to pay a premium to hedge against the downside risk, while negative skew means that call options are more expensive than put options, indicating that the market is more bullish on the underlying asset.
